Havana was officially recognized as the Wonder City and for this February 14, the capital has all the ingredients to be especially enjoyed by couples and loved ones. You will have no trouble finding places that lend themselves to romanticism, but in any case, from Ask a Cuban we present you the 5 most romantic spots in Havana.

  HAVANA'S MALECON
This is undoubtedly a classic, there is no person who has visited Havana and does not know the Havana Malecon. With its 8km long, the most emblematic wall of the city is full of fishermen, groups of friends and of course couples in love. We especially recommend you to visit the end of 23rd Street, just in front of it you will have beautiful views of the gardens of the National Hotel. To this plan you can add an ice cream at El Coppelia, where they sell the best known and cheapest ice cream in the city. Once seated on the wall you will see various street vendors from whom you can buy stuffed animals, crystal flowers and even take a vintage photo as a souvenir.

  ALMENDARES PARK
Among Havana's parks, the Almendares is the largest and is considered the lung of the city.  A green space of more than 700 hectares in the middle of the city, with lush and wild vegetation that will surely surprise you. In the Almendares Park you can stroll with your partner, take a fresh air bath or simply enjoy the environment. If you like nature, this is a corner of Havana that you cannot miss, especially if you have the opportunity to do it in good company.

  CENTRAL PARK
This place is located in a tree-lined square right in front of the Gran Teatro Alicia Alonso, with palm trees that serve as a roof for the statue of the National Hero José Martí. The Central Park is also surrounded by the historical and monumental heritage of the city. A few meters away is the Capitolio and a block further on is the Paseo del Prado (inspired by the one in Madrid and reaching the Malecón).

THE BAY AND PORT OF HAVANA
Just at the end of the Malecon and in front of the Spanish Embassy the Atlantic continues its course and enters the bay of Havana where the city's port and cruise terminal is located. Adorable to walk and admire the small boats that offer the most beautiful views of the other side of the bay. From here we can admire the fortifications of Havana and the Casablanca neighborhood.

  SUNSET FROM CASABLANCA
You can reach this site by road, by taking a cab in front of the Central Park, by taking a public bus or by taking the Regla boat, which leaves every half hour from a small pier next to the cruise terminal. Once in Casablanca square you will have to walk a little bit.  The walk is uphill, but it is really worth it. Cross the square, follow the road up to the left and after a few minutes without leaving the path you will come across the huge sculpture of the Christ of Havana. In front of his figure, you will discover the best panoramic view of Havana. If the sky is clear you can enjoy a romantic sunset. The orange tones merge with the blue ocean that wets the city and will leave you with a photograph that will simply be unforgettable.

All these sites are so close to each other that you could visit them all in one day. It's such an economical and romantic plan that definitely has the Ask a Cuban seal of quality to make your Valentine's Day special and unforgettable.
