Trinidad is located in the central region of Cuba, in the southern Sancti Spíritus province. Here are the best things to see and do during your visit:

La Plaza Mayor of Trinidad:
Considered the heart of the Historic Center of Trinidad. It is bordered by Real del Jigüe, Cristo and Desengaño streets. The conservation of this historic place will take you back in time.

The National Museum of Fight against Bandits:
This cultural institution located in the old Convent and Church of San Francisco de Assís stores the history of the military body created by the Cuban Revolution to fight counter-revolutionary groups in central Cuba between 1959 and 1965.

The Romantic Museum:
Located next to Plaza Mayor, this mansion was owned by one of the richest families of the colonial period, the counts of Brunet House. It was completed in 1808 and is now one of the most visited architectural gems in Cuba, guardian of abundant relics of the refined Trinitarian sociocracy.

Valle de Los Ingenios or Sugarmills’ Valley:
Just a few kilometers to the east, the greenery of the Valle de Los Ingenios calls for a visit. Admire the remains of ancient sugar factories that turned the area into the world's largest producer of sugar many years ago.

Torre Iznaga
This majestic, 45 meter -high tower in Sugarmill’s Valley offers a beautiful view and gives you the chance to hear stores from locals about the tower’s history.

Taberna Trinitaria La Canchánchara
On your visit to Trinidad, La Canchanchara is an obligatory stop. Its name comes from a Creole drink prepared with sugar cane, brandy, honey and lemon juice. This drink was preferred by the "mambises" of the Cuban Liberating Army during its fight against the Spanish metropolis, and no other barn makes it better.
