Cuba has a rich jazz heritage and was selected as the host city of the 2017 World Jazz Day celebrated April 30, a celebration that culminated with performances by Herbie Hancock and Chucho Valdéz.

 
In addition, Afro-Cuban jazz, a subgenre of jazz, emerged in the 1940s and was integrated into the so-called Latin jazz. The main Afro-Cuban jazz artists include Mario Bauzá, Machito, Chano Pozo, Dizzy Gillespie and Tito Puente.

La Zorra y El Cuervo
Located in the basement of a residential building on the central Rampa Street, just a few meters from the Habana Libre Hotel, La Zorra y el Cuervo is one of the oldest and most famous jazz clubs in Havana. Miramar Café Jazz
The Café Jazz Miramar has quickly established itself as one of the best live music venues - or the best - in Havana. It is a modern jazz club where you can listen to some of the best emerging and consecrated figures of Cuban music. Essential for jazz fans.
