Whether you’re just curious about Hemingway’s life, or you’ve read every single one of his works, including the Novel-prize winning novel The Old Man and the Sea, set in the Cuban fishing town of Cojimar, there’s no doubt this tour will be a window into Cuba’s cultural and intellectual scene of the 60s. In just half a day, you’ll stop by the restaurants, bars, and hotels the famous writer and journalist used to visit during his stays in Cuba, which have been preserved and have become an important part of our rich cultural patrimony.

The tour starts with a stop at the modern Finca la Vígia, the house where the larger-than-life author wintered for more than 20 years. Then you’ll continue to Cojímar, a fisherman community the writer used to frequent and depart on his fishing trips. After a guided tour, you’ll stop at Las Terrazas restaurant, one of Hemingway’s favorites spots in Cojimar. Then you’ll head to Old Havana for visits to the famous Floridita Bar, where Hemingway enjoyed his daiquiris, and to La Bodeguita del Medio bar, where he enjoyed his mojitos. The tour will continue with a visit to the Ambos Mundos Hotel where you’ll visit the room Hemingway used to book when staying in the city. End the tour with a delicious optional lunch in one of Hemingway’s favorite bars.
