What to do in Cuba in June?

Welcome once again to our must-do list of happenings every month. June is Cuba’s most musical month of the year, so if you´re visiting us in the next 30 days, you may want to assist the clubs and events around the capital. The temperatures start arising so you´d better pack some shirts and shorts, but don´t ever forget your sunblock, caps or hats to protect yourself from the Caribbean Sun:

Boleros de Oro 2018:  XXVIII Boleros de Oro International Festival will take place in Havana and other Cuban cities from June 20th to 24th. It´s important to emphasize that bolero was perhaps the first great Cuban musical and vocal synthesis to win universal recognition. This event has been organized by the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) for more than two decades. It will be an opportunity to bring together singers, composers, researchers, specialists and admiring visitors, who will meet in Cuba to participate or enjoy the biggest bolero party worldwide.

Chorus International Festival: Choral singing festival, that offers participating choirs the possibility to perform in the main concert halls of the city and to exchange their experiences in workshops on interpretation and assembly of works of the Cuban and international choral repertoire. This year it will be dedicated to choral singing and choral arrangements. Don’t miss this singing fest from June 26th to 30th.

Traditional Night of the 50s: Every night there´s a place to travel in time at Rosalia de Castro association in the heart of Old Havana. The society opens its carved wooden doors the whole week for the “Traditional from the 50s” spectacle, a gathering of big names from Buena Vista Social Club and Afro Cuban All-Star who play classic songs that are still popular and pretty much part of our culture. Havana Cabaret: Why is that Cuba is so famous among the worldwide population? There are, perhaps many reasons to discuss, but passion about dancing and music could be the primordial reason why you´d visit us. So we invite you to visit Tropicana Cabaret or Parisien show to enjoy a lively night at one of these beautiful and mysterious clubs in Havana and appreciating the intricate costume and set design, acrobatics, and stage performances.
